where does time go!

I can't believe I haven't written anything down in 10 MONTHS! Where does time go.
Xave is such a big boy and fighting for independence

-on the changing table when I try to get him to lay down he says "No Xavier do it"

-his take on possesive pronouns is "me, mine"

- He still gives kisses and hugs to get out of trouble and to stall at bedtime

- He has been in a toddler bed for a month now, since he learned to climb out of his Crib at the begining of October. It was a hard first couple of weeks. He goes down without a problem, but he gets up between 3 and 5:30 and gets in bed with us. We are usually too tired to put him back in his bed, plus I like snuggling with him.

- last night I was trying to get him to go brush his teeth and he crawls into my lap and pulls a blanket onto me and says "Nuggle Mama More" and yes I let him "nuggle" more with me.

-He loves "samiches" and will eat just about anything in sandwich form if I give it to him

- In the morning when he is up and bouncing on my head and ready to go he tells me
" Mama, Sumpin to EAT, sumpin eat"

I can't believe I have not written anything down in months.
Xavier is very sweet lately. And he knows the easiest way out of trouble is to come and say "mama" and give kisses and pats and say "oooohhhh".

He has a temper. When he doesn't get his way he gets mad and shakes and hits or bites. Though usually the closest thing to bite is his own hand.

He is getting a mouth full of teeth....at least 8 all at once! He loves to dance. And when he does it he has this upper body wiggle, shimmy thing he does that just cracks me up.

Xavier has a friend.

I keep hearing stories from Ms. Megan and Ms. Mary about Xavier and his friend Adelaide. Adelaide is close to his age and a cute nearly bald little girl. Apparently Xave goes up to her and holds her hand! ( heart melting....what a sweet boy I have) Yesterday it was reported they played together in the tunnel and made a cave on their own and just giggled and giggled about it. When I went in to pick him up yesterday he was sitting in the library corner just flipping through the pages of a book. I can't believe how big he is getting.

This week has been hard. I came down with mastitis on Sunday. So Wednesday and Thursday I tried to nurse Xave at daycare. He would have nothing to do with me, he actually pushed me away! The first day he was so animated and Loud. Like "hey my mama is here, did you see its my Mama how cool is that" He just jabbered away. He is walking so well and they are going to move him to the next room, next month.

Today a few of the kids from the room above his were in his class and as I was about to go take his jacket off one of the little boys just pushed him, on purpose and knocked him over. I was MAD. Xave was bawling; big, sad tears. I scooped him up and he just kept crying, I think he would have cried less if I had not been there. It took several minutes for him to settle down, but I was glad I was there to give him hugs and kisses.

I am sure Xave knows who Dada is. When I am with him if hears a noise somewhere else in the house he asks "DA?" In his room the other night while I was trying to put him to bed he kept trying to peek around the door, because he could hear Brent in the kitchen. Though I agree the excited kicks make me giggle.

Kicks

Xavey is a Momma's boy for sure, I think sometimes I'm just that nice guy that brings him to Mommy. Though lately I think things are slightly changing. Lately when I pick him up, he grins his big toothy grin and when I'm pulling him up, he kicks his legs, sort of like I'm so excited I can't keep it all in and its escaping out my toes! It makes me feel pretty special :)

Big grins and big teeth.

Xave,

This morning in bed you were so sweet. While you were nursing you kept rubbing my arm. When you finished you popped off and sighed a big contented sigh as you plopped backwards on the comforter. You looked so cute and L-O-N-G in your green footie jammies. You looked up at me and grinned. Your teeth look huge in you little mouth. 2 on the bottom half way through with one on the top left peeking out. There are 3 more on top that can be seen under the gums but are not there yet. I love your smile. You are so easy to flash the megawatt grin, I hope that you never loose that ability.

This morning Xavier also discovered he could open his diaper.....luckily we averted disaster, but it was close.
